World Environment Day – June 5

Sophia’s Mission goes to ORGANIC FAIR in Lagoa,  Rio de Janeiro, Saturday  June 6.
We live in a consumer society that draws from nature the resources for our needs. To resources continue to exist, we must preserve its biocapacity.
We should give time for nature to recover and replenish what we take from it.
Consume with care starts with our health. We need water and food to live. The organic food gives us the proper nutrition. When you bought a product grown with pesticides, we are giving money to an industry that is bad for our health and earth’s soils.
Drinking filtered water is better because it does not generate waste. The bottle made with pet  consumes energy to be recycled. Eating less meat is a way of preserving nature’s resources.
We must carefully choose the products we need. Buy only what we need.  Every product consumes a lot of energy and also water (virtual water) in its manufacture.
Electronic waste must be disposed of properly and we have to learn to manage the waste.
We can no longer continue to exploit fossil fuels such as coal and oil. They polute the air we breathe, cut our forests and contaminate sources of water.
We are 7 billion people who dream of a better world. A world with pure water and clean air for everyone, powered by renewable energy, preserving nature. A world made of people who consume carefully.
See  PlanetAtivo Project ‘s dream and also put your pledge and share your dream on the site WED World Enviroment Day.

May our dreams come true is our wish!
