April 22 International Mother Earth Day
April 22 is Internacional Mother Earth Day! The date was created to remind us that the Earth gives us everything we have and what we need. It is the Earth that sustains us.
It is the responsibility of ALL to be in harmony with nature and achieve a balance of development so that the children and young people of today can also have what they need in the future.
The theme for 2017 is “Environmental and climate literacy.” We have to learn about the Earth and its ecosystems to understand the environment and the climate. Human actions interfere with the natural balance and we suffer from climate change.
The book “The Mission of Sofia on Planet Earth” teaches us about the environment and the climate and shows us what we can do and what we should not do.
