Brazilian Amazon forest has govern response
The international community has revolted with the fires in our Amazon which is known to be the lungs of the world. In fact, the Amazon is a mature forest and currently captures little carbon, according to the National Institute of Amazon Research INPA. Oceans account for 70% of the planet’s respiration through the diatons
algae that release oxygen in large quantities.
The greatest importance of the Amazon is its flying rivers that carry rain throughout the region and balance the climate of the planet.
The government was slow to respond but now it is fact. The Amazon is under the protection of the Brazilian Army by Presidential Decree:
Art. 1 The use of the Armed Forces to Guarantee Law and Order and for subsidiary actions is authorized from August 24 to September 24, 2019, in the border areas, in indigenous lands, in federal protected areas. and other areas of the states of the Legal Amazon.
