World Environment Day 2019 – Beat Air Pollution
Every year we celebrate World Environment Day on June th to raise awareness that protecting the environment and its natural resources is a major issue matter for humanity.
In 2019, the theme is Air Pollution and China is the host country of the event organized by the Organization of Nations. We need to do something about the quality of the air we breathe. Facts that we should know:
• 7 million people worldwide die prematurely each year from air pollution.
• Most of the deaths occur in the Asia-Pacific region, where China is.
• 92% of people in the world (and you can be among them) do not breathe clean air.
• US $ 5 trillion a year is the cost of air pollution for welfare costs
• Agriculture, household , industry, transportation and waste contribute to air pollution.
