Climate Change Conference, Cancun.
The United Nations Conference on Climate Change, COP 16 (Sixteenth Conference of the Parties) takes place in Cancun Mexico, form Nov 29 to December 10.
The Conference aims at finding an agreement between the parties (governments) for what was not resolved in Copenhagen last year and that can no longer be postponed.
Climate change is really happening and the planet is warming because of emissions of greenhouse gases emissions. . Blame it on the way of development that humans have chosen, based mainly on fossil fuels: coal and oil.
To make matters worse, we cut the forests that help to regulate the climate. Hence, it’s time for governments to take the decision. Cancun must help the world to keep in the right direction. Governments have to reach an agreement to cut emissions. They have the power and responsibility to make the decision that will bring us into a new era of green and clean development.
